CTV Toronto & CP24 | Producer

I produce the noon show for CTV News Toronto: assigning reporters, choosing, writing, and editing stories, book guests, and time out the show
I produce on the weekend for CP24: building rundowns and timing out the show

Global News Morning Kingston | Videographer | Fill-in Anchor | Weather Presenter

As a videographer, I pitched enterprise journalism stories. I wrote, shot and edited reports. I wrote breaking news stories for the Global News Kingston website
I filled in as an anchor, interviewing live guests and reading news breaks on both TV and radio
I filled in as weather presenter for the morning, 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. shows

The Wellington Advertiser | Reporter

I wrote for the Wellington Advertiser reporting on council meetings, breaking news, and feature stories (to name a few). I took photos for the newspaper using DSLR cameras. I composed tweets and other social media posts to correspond with the online publication. I also wrote for the newspapers, magazines: Business Leader, and Wellington Weddings.

International Reporting Program | Fellow

I reported from the field on non-Syrian refugees who have found themselves stuck in Turkey's overwhelmed asylum-seeking process. I collected audio, video and print and I am currently in the process of editing the material into two long-form articles and accompanying videos.

I write articles about alumni and current students who are forging new paths through their art with a focus on their music entrepreneurship. I manage the school of music twitter account and shoot video of recitals and student interviews to post on their social media.

I assisted Professor Taylor Owen with his work on Canadian investigative journalism outlets and virtual reality. I interviewed and researched specialists about the state of Canadian journalism, and created a spreadsheet of all the news outlets in Canada still producing investigative journalism.

Global News | Intern

I acted as a liaison between reporters and interview subjects, researched and pitched story ideas, and pulled video clips from a digital archive to be aired on the show.

Totem Group, TC Media | Intern

I wrote and edited travel stories for CAA Magazine. I helped conduct market research, recorded Noomark, the company podcast, and maintained the company's blog.
